Digital Media Engagement
The Digital Media Engagement Minor is a seven-course, 21-credit program designed to help students master a variety of skills vital to succeeding in today’s digital marketing field.
Students enrolled in the Digital Media Engagement Minor will learn social media marketing and the digital advertising principles necessary to develop persuasive campaigns, including content organization, interface design and user experience. Through coursework in digital analytics, media planning and search engine optimization, students will develop talents that are highly valued by advertising agencies, corporations, media buying and planning firms, media companies, and research organizations.
Real-World, Hands-On Experience
A Minor in Digital Media Engagement provides students with real-world experience such as the Google Online Marketing Challenge, an international competition for which students work with a $250 advertising budget to develop and implement an online advertising campaign for a business or nonprofit organization. After completing the course, they are also eligible for the Google AdWords Certification Exam.
Students also can secure an internship to deepen their Advertising and Public Relations experience.
