Joe Glennon is an assistant professor in the Department of Advertising who focuses on teaching courses in the Copywriting track. He is also the faculty director of Diamond Edge Communications, the student-run advertising agency staffed entirely by Temple advertising majors.
Prior to joining the Department of Advertising in 2010, Glennon was a copywriter and creative director who worked with brands like adidas, Benjamin Moore Paints, Coca-Cola, Fidelity Investments and Microsoft. With experience in the agency framework and as a full-time freelancer, he brings both perspectives to Temple and advises students on the best ways to approach these career paths.
Glennon began his professional writing career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles, where he worked with the producers of some of the nation’s favorite TV comedies in the early 1990s, including Cheers, Frasier and Home Improvement. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and a product of the Harvard University Screenwriting program.
