Kathy Mueller loves her skills as an art director, a designer and an educator. She cherishes the opportunity to share her excitement and expertise to facilitate growth. She sees herself as a problem solver and an applied artist and hopes to inspire her students to be the same.
Always active in the design and advertising community, Mueller served a two-year term on the board of AIGA Philadelphia, the professional association for design, and she continues to volunteer on committees for the organization. Her creative work has been awarded by prestigious organizations including Art Directors Club Global and Type Directors Club.
Mueller received her MFA in Graphic & Interactive Design in 2014 from the Tyler School of Art at Temple and holds a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. She served as adjunct instructor of graphic design and illustration at Moore from 2007 to 2010. Prior to setting up shop as a freelance art director and designer in 2008, Mueller spent three years at a branding agency. She also studied at the graduate level in Rome in 2010 with School of Visual Arts and again in 2013 with Tyler School of Art.
