Magda Konieczna teaches practice and theory classes in the undergraduate journalism program. She also teaches in the Globalization and Development Communication masters program and the Media and Communication doctoral program. Her book, Journalism Without Profit: Making News When the Market Fails (Oxford, 2018), focuses on nonprofit news organizations and the future of journalism. She has a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was a city hall reporter in Canada before moving into academia.
