The summer 2017 program application will open in December 2016.

This application cannot be saved midway, so be sure you have the following items ready before you begin.

A PDF version of your academic history
Your online academic history can be found in the Records Channel in Self-Service Banner. Log in to TUportal, click on Student Tools, and choose Academic History. Copy your entire academic history (including the courses you’re currently taking), paste it into a Word document and save the file. Then, with the Word document open, save it again as a PDF with your last name first followed by the word grades: SMITH grades.pdf.

A PDF version of your application essay
Describe the present state of your academic work and how you would like the Study Away program of your choice to contribute to your personal and academic development. It’s important to include information about why you are interested in the program and the location at this point in your academic career, what you hope to gain from it and what you believe you will contribute to the program.

A copy of your financial plan for your semester away
Upon meeting with the assistant director or the director of Study Away, you will be encouraged to complete a financial plan, outlining program expenses and the potential income to offset them. Students are expected to submit a copy of a completed Summer Financial Planning Guide as a part of the application. This will not be taken into consideration for admission—it is for Study Away’s reference in helping students with their planning.

A résumé is only required for the Global Internship program.

Email request to your reference (and an alternate reference)

Once you have gathered the materials you need, proceed to the application.
