London Program Costs

Semester Program

The following costs are included in your bill from Temple.

  • Tuition for full-time undergraduate Klein College students (12–18 credits)*
    • Pennsylvania residents: $8,664
    • Out-of-state residents: $14,556
  • Klein Global Opportunities Program AY17-18 fee: $9,500
  • University services fee: $445

The estimated totals of undergraduate billed expenses are*
Pennsylvania state residents: $18,609
Out-of-state residents: $24,501

NOTES: *The tuition rates listed above are simply an example of tuition rates for undergraduate students whose home school is the Klein College of Media and Communication. Students will be charged their home school tuition regardless of participation in a program offered through the Klein College of Media and Communication. Visit the Bursar’s website to calculate your tuition rate. Tuition rates are subject to change and are updated in July for the upcoming academic year.

**The international insurance  fee reflects the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters. Costs are subject to change. 

The amenities included in the Global Opportunitites Program fee are

  • group field trips in and around London,
  • shared student housing in apartments,
  • a comprehensive orientation program (welcome dinner, ticket to a show or play, tours of the city, etc.),
  • access to the Imperial College Student Union Center and the Birbeck College Library,
  • a Tube pass for the duration of the program, and 
  • a comprehensive health insurance package.

The costs that are not billed to your Temple account are

  • a new passport (fees can total $130);
  • student visa fees ($530 and subject to change);
  • meals (an average of $2,500 per semester);
  • daily expenses: $2,500 (an average of $2,500 per semester);
  • three-month cell phone rental (approximately $150)***;
  • theater tickets, required for students enrolled in Theater 1002 ($360 and subject to change); and 
  • roundtrip airfare from Philadelphia ($1,200–$1,400).

The estimated total of non-billable expenses is $7,570.

***All students are required to have a working cell phone number, while in-country.

Summer Program

The following costs are included in your bill from Temple.

  • Tuition for full-time undergraduate Klein College students (6 credits)****
    • Pennsylvania residents: $4,332
    • Out-of-state residents: $7,278
  • Klein Global Opportunities Summer 2017 Program fee†: $5,000
  • University services fee: $170

The estimated totals of undergraduate billed expenses are****
Pennsylvania residents: $9,502
Out-of-state residents: $12,448

The Global Opportunity Program fee is only an estimate; it will be updated in January for summer 2018. All estimated costs are subject to change and should be used only as guidelines. Accepted students will receive updated, detailed cost information as soon as it is available after the application deadline.

Program fees do not include meals, but kitchen facilities are available.

  • a comprehensive orientation program (welcome dinner, tours of the city, ticket to a show or play, etc.),
  • access to the Imperial College Student Union Center and the Birbeck College Library,
  • a Tube pass for the duration of the program, and a comprehensive health insurance package.

The costs that are not billed to your Temple account are

  • daily expenses: $900 (an average of $900 for a five-week period),
  • cell phone rental (approximately $150)‡ and
  • roundtrip airfare from Philadelphia ($800–$1,400).
