Name: Allie Amato
Major: Media Studies and Production
Program: Global Internship Program - Barcelona, Summer 2017
Expected Graduation Date: Spring 2018
Email: tuf58170@temple.edu

Hey, I'm Allie and I'm freshly pumped up with culture from my internship abroad in Barcelona! I major in Media Studies and Production as well as minor in Political Science. While I was in Spain I did mostly event planning but I also developed my cross culture workplace skills. This was pretty difficult for someone who barely spoke Spanish but after some internalized freak-outs and foreign language faux pas I came out a better person! Towards the end of my time abroad I was even able to order for myself at a restaurant, which in my opinion is the most important skill to have in a foreign country. I'm also your girl just for a numerous amount of tips. Overall it's my hope as an advisor that my peers get the most out of their experience away just like I did!

Name: Geena Bevenour
Major: Media Studies and Production
Program: Dublin, Spring 2017
Expected Graduation Date: Spring 2018
Email: geena.bevenour@temple.edu

My name’s Geena and I’m a senior in Klein College with a media studies and production major! I had the utmost pleasure of studying and interning in Dublin, Ireland this past spring semester (2017). Having grown up in King of Prussia, not too far outside of Philadelphia, the only travel I had done prior to Dublin was in conjunction with sports. I played competitive volleyball for 10 years (and still play club at Temple!) which afforded me the opportunity to see much of the USA. Diving into the Irish culture was adventurous, full of constant learning, and ultimately life-changing for me! I learned to sit back minimally and experience new things to the maximum - a wonderful mindset I can now apply to my last year at Temple. Outside of traveling, I love exploring Philly, blueberries, the power of social media, my dog Marvin, photography, and the outdoors - oh and surfing, which I learned to do in Ireland!

I just recently completed an internship in Los Angeles, California as a video editor for the entertainment company ScreenSlam. Some of my favorite things about my experience in Los Angeles have been experiencing Los Angeles and it's different cultures, getting the opportunity to work within the entertainment industry, and having the opportunity to interview A-list celebrates such as Mark Hamill and Tom Holland which was the highlight of my internship experience. I plan on returning next summer to Los Angeles to complete another internship. My goal once I graduate college is, to move out to Los Angeles and work as an editor or cinematographer.

Name: Kayla Smith
Major: Communication Studies
Program: South Africa, Summer 2017
Expected Graduation Date: Fall 2018
Email: tug62242@temple.edu

Hey everyone! Nice to meet you. My name is Kayla and I'm a super-senior here at Klein College. This past summer I went on my very first study abroad to South Africa and had a blessed experience. As a communication studies major, I got to use my knowledge to take on multiple challenges there, getting practice in website production (check out tusouthafrica.com) and journalism writing in a foreign country. As a traveler myself, I am beyond excited to be here helping other students make their travel dreams happen. Besides my love for travel, I am a geek here at school with my major and two minors in sociology and Spanish. I'm a geek in the observation of human-kind, basically. Outside of school, I love to dance and practice my cooking skills!
