Each Global Opportunities program consists of two types of costs: billable and non-billable. Billable costs are the items that will appear on a student’s Temple account prior to departing from the program. Payment for these items will occur through TU Pay and follow the Temple billing schedule. Non-billable costs are costs that students are responsible for paying out-of-pocket prior to and during the length of their program.
Students are encouraged to utilize the Bursar’s tuition calculator to confirm their tuition rates for the term they will be away. Students should also consult Student Financial Services to determine which aspects of their financial aid package may be applied to their bill to off-set the costs of studying away.
Billable costs include:
- Temple tuition for 12-18 credit hours*
- University services fee
- Global Opportunities program fee**
Non-billable costs include, but are not limited to:
- Round trip airfare
- Some meals
- Daily expenses
*As this course is considered part of the spring semester, student’s will be billed for their normal 12-18 credit hours for the term. There are no additional tuition costs associated with this course unless students go above the 18 credit hour limit.
**The Global Opportunities program fee generally covers the student’s accommodations, pre-departure and on-site orientations, transportation, some meals, excursions, and co-curriculars.
