Housing and Accommodations
Housing for the Temple London Program involves shared residence hall style accommodations in some of London’s best neighborhoods that are a short walk or tube ride to your classroom.
Temple students will likely be housed in Loring Hall, an undergraduate hall with other local students. Actual placements are subject to change.
Students will enjoy a 4-6 single bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. The dorm will also feature a shared common space with a kitchen, where students can mingle with their flatmates. Just outside, students can hop on the Overground at New Cross Gate and reach central London in no time. Upon acceptance to the program, students are instructed on how to secure their housing assignment through Goldsmiths. Additional information, including photos of the housing, is available on Goldsmiths’ website.
Students participating in the London Summer program will be housed in Arcadia University’s student housing, specifically the Princess Elizabeth House. Situated in a residential area close to Highgate Village, this residence was renovated in 2016 to create modern, comfortable, student housing. The building is made up of shared flats and studios. Students also have access to a shared kitchen and living rooms area. With all modern fixtures and high speed internet, the commute to class is worthwhile for the comfortable housing with nearby shops, grocery stores, pubs and restaurants available just a short walk away.
Arcadia will provide each student with a pillow and a duvet; students will be responsible for their own bed linens. Student packing space will be limited, so it is not recommended that students bring these materials with them in their luggage. Students will have free time on the day they arrive and during orientation to purchase bed linens, and Arcadia staff will be able to direct students to local shops. Additional information about accommodations for the London Summer program can be found on Arcadia University’s website.
