Virtual Q&A Information Session

Join Dr. Maggie Place, vice dean for student success, and Director of Academic Advising Dr. Whitney Carroll for a virtual information session on graduation requirements and ceremonies.

In this session, we will discuss:

  • University requirements for graduation, including submitting your graduation application
  • Winter ceremony details for graduates who have not yet walked at a ceremony
  • Details on how to access transcripts and your diploma after graduation

On Wednesday, December 18, graduates will have the opportunity to hear their name read, to walk across the stage wearing their cap and gown, and to have a keepsake picture taken by a professional photographer. Graduates should arrive by 2 p.m. Doors open to guests one hour before the ceremony.

Graduates eligible to graduate will receive an email from Klein Events. 

Reception Details

Graduates and their ticketed guests are invited to join Dean Boardman, administration, faculty and staff for a reception immediately following the ceremony.

When: 4:30 - 6 pm
Where: Annenberg Hall, Atrium

Those planning to attend the reception are encourage to register through the ceremony registration form, which has been emailed to each graduate.

Mandatory Online Graduation Application

The online graduation application notifies Temple University and Klein College of your intent to graduate and allows the Office of University Registrar (OUR) to prepare your electronic online diploma; as well as, mailing a hardcopy of your diploma. If you missed the deadline, please contact 

To apply to graduate:  

  1. Log into your TUPortal.
  2. Click the Self-Service Banner link in the left column.
  3. Select Student, Student Records, and Apply to Graduate.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete.

Student Speaker Application

Prospective graduates who meet the criteria below are highly encouraged to apply to be the student speaker for Klein's 2024 Winter Graduation Ceremony:

  • Minimum 3.00 GPA.
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a social and/or educational impact (either within or outside the university community) for a minimum of two years.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Ordering Your Academic Regalia

If you are planning to attend the Klein's Winter Graduation Ceremony, you are required to wear regalia to walk across the stage and hear your name read. Purchases can be made in person at the Main Campus Bookstore. The bookstore is located at 1755 N 13th St Gittis Student Center Lower Level, Philadelphia, PA 19122.

Senior Portraits

Graduates can schedule an appointment to have their senior portraits taken by visiting: Senior Portraits: https://book.usesession.com/s/bhq4UBky2. Please continue to check back as more dates will be added as the semester progresses.

Ceremony Photos

Photos of graduates as they cross the stage will be taken by a professional photographer. Details on where to purchase these photos will be provided at a later date.

Guests driving to the ceremony are advised to park in the Liacouras Garage, with a parking fee of $22 per day. Please note that only credit card payments are accepted; cash will not be accepted.
