About the honoree

John Clark has been a sportscaster at NBC10 and NBC Sports Philadelphia for over 23 years. He is from Delaware County and since he couldn’t be a professional baseball player, he wanted to cover the Philly sports teams he grew up watching as a kid in the Delaware Valley. John has won Emmy awards and he has been named the Pennsylvania sportscaster of the year twice in the last five years. 
 
John covered the Eagles two Super Bowl championships and the parades and the Phillies World Series championship and the parade. He has covered almost every Eagles game in person home and away for 20+ years and covered four Eagles Super Bowl appearances 
 
John has covered the Stanley Cup Final when the Flyers went there in 2010 as well as Sixers playoff runs and makes regular trips to the NFL Draft as well as major golf events that come from Philly. John can be seen Sunday through Thursday on NBC 10 news at 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM covering all of the happenings in Philly sports. 
John also does newsworthy interviews and conversations with big names in Philly sports on the Takeoff podcast 
 
John is a proud graduate of Temple University and is a big supporter of Special Olympics. His brother is a participant in Special Olympics.
