Describe your current occupation and if applicable, how was Temple the launchpad for your current position?

It's been a childhood dream of mine to cover sports in Philadelphia. Temple allowed me to get the experience and education I needed to build a strong foundation in the industry, so I could excel at my first job right out of college. Temple also allowed me to build vital connections to people in the industry, which led to my hiring at Fox29. I truly would not be where I am, as quickly as I am, if it wasn't for Temple and Klein College.

Why do you support Temple University and serve on the Klein Alumni Association Board?

Temple has given me the keys to succeed in this world, and it's only right that I give back to the institution that gave so much to me. I also want to help the next generation of Owls succeed by continuing to work within the Klein College community.

What excites you about the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication?

We have such a tight knit family feel, unlike any other university that I've seen. A former news director of mine called it the "Temple Mafia", because we have this unspoken loyalty to one another that leads to opening doors, getting resumes across desks, etc. It's really a spot on description, and that connection to one another needs to continue to grow. The alumni association plays a big role in that.

What advice could you give someone looking to become more engaged with Klein College?
Start small! Come to Homecoming and hang out at the tailgate, or volunteer to do an event or speak to a class. If you like the experience, sign up for more. It truly doesn't have to be a daunting task and massive commitment. The most important thing is that you reach out and offer to assist in any way you can.

What was your favorite memory while a student at Temple?
Traveling to Memphis with the men's basketball team for the American Athletic Conference tournament!
