Tamron Hall is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has anchored for MSNBC, reported for NBC News and now hosts her own self-titled daytime talk show. Tamron is also on Temple’s Board of Trustees and served as the 2014 Klein College Winter Commencement speaker.

John Oates, best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, graduated from Temple with a degree in journalism. Growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs, John was drawn to the city’s music scene in the sixties and would watch performances at the Uptown Theater.

After graduating from Klein’s journalism program, Joby won two Pulitzer Prizes—the first for public service in 1996 for a five-part series on the environmental and health risks associated with factory farming, and his second for general nonfiction in 2016 for his book Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS.
