Biography

Hi! My name is Genesis. I am a second-year Journalism major from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm quite far from home but I made the decision to come to Temple and I don't regret it one bit! I am a member of the Black Student Union and the Temple Cherry Bombs, a dance team on campus. I'm a lover of writing and I currently author freelance opinion pieces for The Temple News and Keke Magazine. My dream career is anything that has me writing and traveling abroad as I want to experience all the magnificent cultures in the world. The thing I most enjoy about being a Klein Owl is being a part of a close-knit community. I also work as a Peer Advisor in the Academic Advising Office in Klein, so I get to interact with many staff and students. Some advice to first-year students: you don't have to know everything. In my first year, it took me a while to adapt to Temple. However, with the help of the first-year seminar and being a full-time student, I feel I've already found my place here at Temple and Klein, and I can't wait to do more.
