      • Director at Large

Graduation Year: 2018, 2023
Major: Communication Studies ’18, Communication Management ‘23
Occupation: Assistant Director of Student Success, Klein College

Describe your current occupation and if applicable, how was Temple the launchpad for your current position?
After graduating from Klein in 2018, I worked for a few years in the international education and edtech fields, while also gaining some excellent sales experience. I always had the desire to return to Klein, and was delighted when a position opened in February 2021 that was very interesting to me. After receiving the offer, I’ve since been promoted to Assistant Director of Student Success and completed my masters in May 2023. In my role, I support several student-facing areas of Klein including scholarships, student organizations, recruitment, and the new student experience program called Klein Rising. I hope to begin an adjunct position at Temple soon as well!

Why do you support Temple University and serve on the Klein Alumni Association Board?
Temple University afforded me with a unique set of skills and a perspective that has guided me through my career thus far. My college experience allowed me to connect with friends and mentors who pushed me far beyond what I could have done for myself, and I am grateful to serve and support the next generation of students through my position on the Klein Alumni Association Board.

What excites you about the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication?
No two Klein College students are alike. I had friends during my undergraduate years that I shared a major, minor, and concentration with and had numerous classes together, yet our interests varied from gymnastics to golf to Broadway to law school. I enjoy surrounding myself with unique individuals who like to support one another’s endeavors. Klein is only limited by the creativity and drive of its students, and I believe both of those things are limitless.

What advice could you give someone looking to become more engaged with Klein College?
Consider what unique things you bring to the table and how you can share these with students. Each of us provides a unique value based on our skills, experience, perspective, and position and all of these can add value to Klein College and its future. Whether its volunteering to oversee a student organization, donating to the annual scholarship fund, attending a college event, or offering your time as a student mentor, anything you can give to support the college is a great gift!

What was your favorite memory while a student at Temple?
Studying abroad at Temple University Japan in fall of 2017 was probably the most transformative experience I had while at Temple. I also thoroughly enjoyed my time competing on Temple’s gymnastics team, working as a Resident Assistant, and leading the Lambda Pi Eta communication honorary society.
