Biography

Prior to joining Klein, Ye Ju Ki worked as a photographer while completing a master’s degree in Visual Communication at Yonsei University. This led to her interest in incorporating visual materials into academic research and expanding the scope of media and communication studies through visual methodologies. Her research interests primarily lie in cultural studies and visual communication, with additional interests in visual culture, feminist film theory, photography theory, and qualitative methodology. Her current work examines how individuals with diverse identities engage with visual media and seeks to reimagine the concept of the gaze.
