Biography
Alison Ebbecke is an assistant professor in the Department of Advertising who specializes in media strategy and digital advertising. Prior to joining Temple full time, she spent nearly a decade as a media professional and an account manager working on campaigns at the regional and national level for a variety of brand categories, including automotive, entertainment, insurance and tourism. Over that time, she experienced firsthand the speed and scale of change that our increasingly digital world is driving in the advertising industry.
As the Department of Advertising expands the emphasis of digital and media skill sets, Ebbecke looks forward to leveraging her experience to help enhance the curriculum. In 2015, she established Temple’s inaugural competition team in the Google Online Marketing Challenge. This global competition offers Temple undergraduates the opportunity to translate the lessons they have learned in the classroom into real-world experience developing and running an online advertising campaign for a business or nonprofit organization.
Ebbecke received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising from the Temple University Klein College of Media and Communication and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Innovation in Marketing from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple.
