Biography

Prof. Fine is the sports guy at Klein College. He’s a Philadelphia-based educator and communications professional with more than 30 years of combined experience as a college professor, broadcast journalist, print journalist, radio host, play-by-play announcer, public speaker and career counselor.

Professionally, his broadcast experience includes anchor/reporter stints up and down the East Coast in cities such as Pittsburgh, Washington DC and Philadelphia. Prof. Fine also continues to impact the professional field as a play-by-play announcer on ESPN+ for various Division 1 baseball and soccer programs in the Philadelphia area.

His educational expertise includes college-level instruction in all facets of television production and writing with a focus on the sports genre. Prof. Fine is the creator, executive producer and instructor for the award-winning sports production team, OwlSports Update - @owlsportsupdate. Shows generally run live on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon on TUTV.

Prof. Fine is the recipient of many of the broadcast industry’s top journalism awards including a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for reporting, along with various regional and national college media/journalism awards for work as an executive producer/supervisor.
