Temple University’s graduating class of advertising and public relations majors is demonstrating their creative, professional and educational materials to industry leaders and employers through virtual postcards for the 2021 Senior Showcase, “Postcards from Home.” This online format enables a wider audience to view student work remotely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual reverse job fair has been adapted so students can upload personalized URLs linking their curated portfolios, writing samples, and more on the Senior Showcase website, www.templeseniorshowcase.com, which went live for employers to view on Friday, April 30 and will remain live indefinitely.
“This graduating class of students are truly resilient in the way their skills and creative spirit uplift one another,” said Chair of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations Joe Glennon. “They deserve this showcase as their hard work and dedication should be on display for employers to see.”
About the Senior Showcase
Temple University’s Department of Advertising and Public Relations’ Senior Showcase was founded in 2015 by Assistant Professor of Instruction Kathy Mueller. Each year, approximately 110-125 students participate in the event and more than 100 of the industry’s top employers attend. The Department of Advertising and Public Relations, which is comprised of 540 advertising majors and 250 public relations majors, helps to prepare students for continuing education and for careers in the digital world.
