Klein Ceremony

Klein College of Media and Communication holds its graduation ceremonies on Main Campus in May and December of each year. Graduates have the opportunity to hear their name read, walk across the stage in their cap and gown, and have a keepsake picture taken by a professional photographer.

Commencement is a multi-day culmination of student achievement and University tradition that marks the completion of each academic year. A comprehensive schedule is provided to help plan your days of celebration.

Graduates attending the 2023 Main Commencement should RSVP and request tickets for friends and family. The ticket site is open through March 21, 2023. Graduates can request up to 4 tickets for the Main Commencement ceremony. Each graduate will receive 2 parking passes. Request tickets for Commencement.

Graduation Ceremony

On Thursday, May 11, graduates will have the opportunity to hear their name read, to walk across the stage wearing their cap and gown, and to have a keepsake picture taken by a professional photographer. Doors open to guests one hour before the ceremony, which begins at 1:30 p.m. 

The ceremony will be streamed live for all family and friends not in attendance. To watch the live stream, visit the university’s commencement website

Register for graduation

Graduates should have received an email from MarchingOrder where they can register for Klein's graduation ceremony.

To register:

  • Using your Temple Accessnet username (tua12345) and password, log in and complete the registration process and confirm that your degree and program are listed correctly.
  • You may return to the site anytime by going to the Login page.

Post-graduation Reception

Graduates and their guests are invited to join Klein administration and faculty for a post-graduation reception with light refreshments in Peabody Courtyard located behind Annenberg Hall starting at 4:00 p.m.

Family and Friends Tickets

Guests are welcome to celebrate your graduation with you. At this time, there is no limit on the number of family and friends graduating students may bring to Klein's ceremony.

Mandatory Online Graduation Application

The online graduation application notifies Temple University and Klein College of your intent to graduate and allows the Office of University Registrar (OUR) to prepare your electronic online diploma; as well as, mailing a hardcopy of your diploma. If you missed the deadline, please contact 

To apply to graduate:  

  1. Log into your TUPortal.
  2. Click the Self-Service Banner link in the left column.
  3. Select Student, Student Records, and Apply to Graduate.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete.

Ordering Your Academic Regalia

If you are planning to attend the Klein's Spring 2023 Graduation Ceremony, you are required to wear regalia to walk across the stage and hear your name read. Purchases can be made on the Barnes & Noble Bookstore website or in person at the Main Campus Bookstore.

Everything you need to know for the day of graduation

Graduation day is quickly approaching, and it’s important to ensure that the day is as stress-free as possible. Below are important things you need to know to be prepared for graduation that will guarantee a memorable experience.

Where and when is Klein's ceremony and how long will it run?

Klein’s Graduation Ceremony will take place at the Liacouras Center at 1776 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19121 on Thursday, May 11. The ceremony will start at 1:30 p.m. and last approximately two and a half hours. 

When should graduates arrive to the ceremony?

Reporting time for graduates is 12:30 p.m. in the loading dock area of the Liacouras Center at 1776 N. Broad St.  

Where should graduates and guests park the day of the ceremony?

Parking arrangements for all graduates attending Klein’s Spring 2023 Graduation Ceremony have been made at Liacouras Garage, 1710 N. 15th St. Philadelphia, PA 19122, and the Temple Towers Lot, 1651 N. 13th St. Philadelphia, PA 19121. Parking is free with a parking pass. 

If you need extra passes, please visit the Advising Office in Annenberg Hall Room 9. 

How will graduates be seated during the ceremony?

Graduates will be seated by degree in alphabetical order. Following an address from Dean Boardman, a keynote and student speaker, graduates will be called to walk across the stage. As graduates walk across the stage, their names and latin honors (if applicable) will be called and they will be shown on the live stream. 

Where is Klein's Graduation Reception being held?

Klein graduates and their guests are invited to join Klein administration and faculty for a reception starting at 4 p.m. with light refreshments in Peabody Courtyard behind Annenberg Hall.

Can family and friends watch the ceremony live online?
