Outstanding Faculty

Edward Fink

Laura H. Carnell Professor

Fink’s studies revolve around attitude and belief changes, social influences, and social networks. His research has led him to co-author and edit publications, as well as become a fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA) and a recipient of ICA’s B. Aubrey Fisher Mentorship Award.

Carolyn Kitch

Laura H. Carnell Professor of Journalism

Carolyn Kitch has published more than 70 scholarly articles and is on the editorial board of 11 journals. She has authored, co-authored or co-edited five books. Kitch’s research areas include gender and women’s studies, magazines, media history, public memory, and visual communication.

Andrea Wenzel

Assistant Professor

Professor Wenzel recently received the International Communication Association’s Journalism Studies Public Engagement Award, which recognizes efforts to go beyond academia and engage in journalistic practices aimed at putting the community first.
