Email: katherine.desrochers@temple.edu
About Me:

Hey future Owl! My name is Kat and I hope to meet you very soon! Temple was everything I was looking for in a university: a diverse student body on a campus bursting with opportunities in a city where I could challenge myself to learn more both in and out of the classroom. Philadelphia is a little far from my home state of Massachusetts, but I have found my Temple family during my time here, which started when I lived in the Communications Living and Learning Community my freshman year. Choosing Klein College was the best choice I made because our students are so open, accepting and ambitious. Klein will push you to learn more about yourself, get involved, and understand the world around you in your time here.

Klein College Ambassador: Tanjeen Twinkle
Major: Journalism
Minor: Political Science
Exp. Graduation Date: May 2020
Email: tanjeen.twinkle@temple.edu
About Me:

My name is Tanjeen Twinkle and I am a junior majoring in journalism with a minor in political science. I applied to Temple University in 2015 and it was my first choice. I absolutely loved everything about Temple and I still do. I definitely made the right choice for me. Klein College had everything I was looking for in a communication and media school. Klein College had a great journalism program, where you can specialize in different fields of journalism and mix up specialization courses. Students here have the ability to take as many courses as they want for their individual specializations. That’s what I loved about Temple — students have the freedom to personalize their education and to express their creativity in different ways.

Exp. Graduation Date: May 2019
Email: alyssa.mancuso@temple.edu
About Me:

Hi, I'm Alyssa, a senior media studies and production major at Klein College, with a concentration in television production. When I'm not touring Klein College with prospective students, I can be found in a few places around campus, particularly in Edberg-Olsen hall, editing practice and game footage for the university’s football team. I spend a majority of my time in TV studio 3, producing and directing OwlSports Update, Temple’s 30-minute live sports broadcast. I am also heavily involved with HootaThon, working as the video production chair to aid in raising funds and awareness for the Child Life Department at CHOP.

About Me:

Hello! My name is Ayooluwa Ariyo and I’m a junior journalism major. I chose Temple because it’s in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. As a transfer student into journalism, Klein College is very welcoming because my professors are easily accessible and they are working in actual journalism fields so I know I’m getting an up-to-date journalism education. Klein College has been vital to my growth as a journalist both on and off campus and I’m glad I’m getting an education in one of the prestigious journalism schools in the fourth-largest media market in the country. I hope to see you soon and see all the awesome things you’ll do here. Once you do get here, get involved!

Exp. Graduation Date: May 2020
Email: lianna.golden@temple.edu
About Me:

Hello! My name is Lianna Golden, and I am a sophomore Journalism major and Spanish minor here at Temple University. I chose Temple specifically because of the Klein College of Media and Communication. I want to pursue a career in broadcast journalism, and ever since the moment I entered the atmosphere of Klein college, I knew it was for me. The city of Philadelphia being in our backyard mixed with Temple’s school spirit, hands-on opportunities, career services and so much more all make Temple, and Klein in particular, an extremely special place. I'm involved with a few organizations within Klein college. I volunteer with Temple Update, TUTV's 30-minute live weekly news broadcast, and I’m one of the digital content producers for templeupdate.com. I also co-produce Lo Ultimo, TUTV's 15-minute weekly Spanish news broadcast. I am proud to be an Owl, and you can be one too! I can't wait to see what new and exciting opportunities are ahead for all of us here at Temple University. Cherry on!

Klein College Ambassador: Emma Levine
Major: Advertising
Minor: Art
Exp. Graduation Date: May 2019
Email: emma.levine@temple.edu
About Me:

My name is Emma Levine and I am a senior advertising major, concentrating in the art direction track, with a minor in art. Originally from New York City, I chose to come to Temple because Klein College had the exact program I was looking for, something where I can combine my passion for art with a marketing and advertising background. I also liked the campus itself and wanted to be in a major city, while also having an actual campus, as opposed to just buildings around the city. I also participated in the London spring 2018 program, completing classes and an internship during my semester abroad. I have completed two other internships working in marketing, social media and graphic design, and also have freelance experience. I have been a student ambassador for more than two years, and now also work with Klein College’s Office of Global Opportunities where I am a peer advisor and help students study away and abroad.
